Palms at the City of Refuge I
Palm Trees at City of Refuge I
Oil on canvas board
5” x 7”
These palm trees were some of the first ones I've ever painted - what a treat! I knew I wanted to use some crazy colours, and especially a palette knife to get some fine lines for the palm fronds. This is a fun painting, created from a photo I took while on a hike for my best friend's bachelorette. Overcast day, but rainbow colours in my heart...and laughter.
This painting is from my first Hawaii Collection, my first painting collection of the year, and my first of the decade! It feels really magical to share this work, for me it represents the infinite possibilities we have in this life, and the outrageous colours match my outrageous goals and dreams.
